Performance Tests
Humidipak’s 2-way humidity control scores perfect in every type of climate.

The key to The Humidor Bag doesn’t have much to do with the plastic bag itself—it’s the Humidipak on the inside that makes all the difference in the world and separates it from all other products.

The following graphs represent real lab data from tests on the Humidor Bag when it’s subjected to varying climates and extremes.

The Humidor Bag in Ambient Conditions

You cannot eliminate fluctuations in humidity if you’re using one-way humidifiers. To eliminate the harmful fluctuations, you need a system that will respond to ambient RH and temperature—two outside factors that are essentially uncontrollable.

If you don’t control both of these factors simultaneously, the RH in your humidor will always be fluctuating and your cigars will be losing some of their essential oils with every change.

Although you can set your home thermostat to maintain a constant temperature, it’s doubtful that you have a home system where you can also control the ambient climate and RH. Furthermore, you can’t control either one as you travel. And that means the moisture in your cigars will be going up and down along with every change in RH—causing your cigars to lose their essential oils and preventing them from aging properly.

With 2-way humidity control, you don’t have to control any outside factors because the technology does it for you—eliminating loss of essential oils and preserving your aged cigars for optimum character, flavor, balance.
