Q.  Do I need to do anything to "activate" the Humidipak on the inside?

A.  No, the Humidipak is completely maintenance-free; no activation is required. Simply open and close the Humidor Bag’s zipper area after placing the cigars inside and the Humidipak RH70 will automatically maintain the ideal 70%RH for 6-months after you first open the Humidor Bag®

Q.  Is it possible for the Humidipak to over humidify my cigars?

A.  No, the Humidipak RH70 provides two-way humidity control, which responds to the outside environment by adding or depleting pure water vapor as needed. Thus making it impossible to over humidify the cigars. This two-way process prevents the loss of essential oils and flavor within the cigars.

Q.  Can I refill the Humidipak once it is depleted?

A.  No, once the Humidipak has exhausted its available water it is not reusable. It’s a disposable product and should be thrown away after it has been used for 6 months.

Q.  What temperature range will the Humidor Bag work in?

A.  The Humidipak RH70 on the inside of the Humidor Bag is stable (+/- 1%) from 30°F to 120°F. One-way humidifiers, on the other hand, are temperature dependent. With 2-way humidity control, temperature is not an issue when within this wide range.

Q.  Will the Humidipak work in my home humidor?

A.  Yes, but only as a stabilizer to your existing one-way humidifiers. It has the ability to help the up and downs of traditional humidifiers.

Q.  Does the Humidor Bag have a shelf life?

A.  Yes, the Humidor Bag will have an unopened shelf life of 18 months, depending on the outside environment. If it is stored within a humidor then it will last indefinitely.

Q.  How long does the Humidor Bag work?

A.  Once the Humidor Bag is opened, it will keep cigars in the exact same condition for up to 6 months. There is no activation or refilling necessary -- it is completely maintenance free. If you load the Humidor Bag with many dry cigars, the Humidipak will certainly restore the moisture. However, the product will probably not last a full 6-months under those circumstances since the dried-out cigars will accelerate the usage life of the Humidipak.

Q.  How many cigars will the Humidor Bag hold?

A.  There are 3 sizes of the new Humidor Bag. The small "pocket size" will hold 4 Churchill size cigars. The medium Humidor Bag will hold 8 or more Churchill cigars. The large "Box" Humidor Bag is designed to hold a full box of 25 cigars. It can hold more than twenty-five cigars, but it is recommended to keep it around twenty-five, so that the Humidipak can properly maintain those cigars up to 6 months.

Q.  Who are your competitors and isn’t there something else like this?

A.  First, there are no competitors to "two-way" humidity control, which is utilized within the Humidor Bag; it’s the first in the world. Yes, there is another company that sells a plastic bag, claiming to keep cigars fresh for 60 days, but the difference is the two-way humidity control, which maintains the essentials oils and flavors of the cigars. One-way humidifiers do not prevent the loss of essential oils and flavor.

Q.  Does the Humidipak contain "propylene glycol"?

A.  No, the components of the Humidipak are natural elements: salt and pure water. There are no chemicals used within the Humidipak, in fact the ingredients are food grade approved. The Humidipak only allows pure water vapor in and out of the Pak.

Q.  Can the Humidor Bag revive a dry cigar?

A.  The Humidor Bag will slowly re-humidify a cigar to the desired moisture level of 70%RH without cracking the wrappers. However, once a cigar has lost its original oils and flavor through the drying out process, you can never regain that optimal taste. We have had many people tells us how good of a job the Humidor Bag did at bringing back to life cigars that were left unprotected. This product is a maintainer of original oils and flavors not reviver of them.

Q.  When will Humidipak offer a home humidor version of the product?

A.  Humidipak Inc. has been researching and completing the proper R&D studies for an eventual home humidor product line. Our hope is that it will be released in the near future. For now, the Humidor Bag is the only product in the world available with 2-way humidity control.
